Warranty
You wisely bought a Part from Hazers, now what?
1. Pick Up Your Part
Unless it was shipped or delivered, Pickup your part within three weeks of ordering it.
If you want it to sit longer, let your salesperson know how long you want it stored for; we are glad to accommodate!
If no accommodations are made then the part will be restocked after 30 days and restocking charges may apply; but don't worry, we be contacting you several times before this point.
2. Buy a Lifetime Warranty or Extended Warranty with your Part
The standard warranty is 90 days of the date of invoice.
Extended Warranties do cost a little extra but cover the replacement part and even cover labor at Mitchell-Book-Removal-and-Install labor rates if it is a parts and labor warranty. All warranties are a one-time use.
Install labor is capped at $1,500 so make sure to talk to your salesperson if this is an issue.
The new warranty-replaced part will the standard warranty unless another Extended warranty is purchased for it.
Because diagnosing an engine can be difficult, Hazers needs to be notified of the defective part while it is still installed in the vehicle so that the part can be verified by an inspection facility or a trusted party.
Warranties are non-transferable to other parties unless the warranty is purchased at discount by the new party while the part is still in a functioning condition.
For all warranties, if a Hazer's associate believes that there is no suitable action to take in order to satisfy Hazer's customer for their warranty, then Hazers reserves the right to give a refund back to the customer for their original purchase price of the part and for the additional cost of the warranty, if it was purchased, provided that the warranty has not been used in any way.
For any extended warranty, the replacement part carries a 30 day parts-only warranty. You may purchase a longer warranty or extended warranty for this next part. Please talk to your salesperson for any other accommodations that you need.
3. If Shipped, Get Shipping Insurance
Shipping insurance is Hazer's own in house and expedited insurance to get rid of all that hassle that shippers put you through! It covers the cost of your original part's return shipping cost for any reason of the fault of Hazers or the shipping company.
This insurance allows your shipping costs to be applied to your next replacement within the standard warranty period.
If you need to use this insurance, be able to send your Hazer's rep. photos of your damaged item or shipping container for expedited service.
4. Install Your Part
To make your life as easy as possible, follow OEM Guidelines.
You want to have an experienced mechanic working on your vehicle. Try to find an ASE certified mechanic. The Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) requirements and guidelines are the standard that will get you the best outcome and allow Hazers to always warranty. Not following OEM requirements and guidelines will void your warranty if that is the reason the part went bad. We know that sometimes you won't follow all OEM guidelines, and we are still willing to work with you on this but please know that this may void your warranty so it is important that you have an experienced mechanic who knows what to do and not do for your vehicle.
For the warranty of your powertrain part to stay valid, especially for extended warranties, you need to keep records of the maintenance performed on your vehicle. The maintenance needs to follow the requirements of your vehicle's manufacturer. It should at a minimum include oil changes, service-interval maintenances from your owner's manual, and work done for manufacturer recalls.
Install your Part
Verify the part and its condition with your mechanic before installation and compare against the notes on your invoice. Plan out the major steps of your install, this will save you a possible headache later.

Below are some best-practices guidelines for installing your major power-train items:
Engines
Your engine arrives with no filter, no oil, and no coolant in it.
Compare your replacement engine to your existing engine, you may need to swap brackets, sensors, wire harness, or other items.
Check all prior computer codes and resolver these codes before your continue as these codes can make new problems.
Consult your mechanic or local dealership for technical service bulletins (TSB's) for problematic items or manufacturer defects that can be addressed while the engine is out. TSB's often include helpful procedures.
At a minimum to make the install worth the while, change out the water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, engine oil, engine coolant, and flush the cooling system.
You may need to replace the timing chain, belts, gears, coolant hoses, front & rear main seals, freeze plugs, valve gaskets, pan gasket, and clean the oil sump screen and pickup tube. Double check the engine timing if you are replacing the timing chain or belt.
Transmissions (Manual and Automatic)
Compare your replacement transmission to your existing transmission , you may need to swap brackets, sensors, wire harness, or other items.
Check all prior computer codes and resolver these codes before your continue as these codes can make new problems.
For transmissions with serviceable filters, the transmission has no filter nor fluid in it. You will need to install both the filter and fluid along with a new gasket.
Consult your mechanic or local dealership for technical service bulletins (TSB's) for problematic items or manufacturer defects that can be addressed while the transmission is out. TSB's often include helpful procedures.
Remove Torque Converter Bracket
Replace all seals: front, rear, axle, and drive shaft seals
If your transmission is a manual, replace throw out bearing, pilot bushing, and clutch.
Fill torque converter with fluid before installing it. Be careful in aligning the torque converter onto the transmission and engine as misalignment is a common way to damage the transmission and transmission pump.
Flush and inspect the transmission, cooler, and lines. If you don't have access to a flusher, flush the lines and at least replace your transmission cooling radiator. Some transmission cannot handle these shortcuts so consult an experienced and certified mechanic.
Adjust the Throttle position sensor cable.
Re-Program the transmission. This a complicated process that also involves the transmission relearning its setting and values. Often the dealership is required to do this as the software is not released yet. Lack of or or improper programming is the #1 failure in transmission installations. Failure to do this will destroy your transmission very quickly.
Clear all computer and fault codes.
Transfer Cases
Compare your replacement Transfer Case to your existing transmission , you may need to swap brackets, sensors, wire harness, or other items.
Check all prior computer codes and resolver these codes before your continue as these codes can make new problems.
The Transfer Case has no fluid in it. You will need to install new fluid.
Consult your mechanic or local dealership for technical service bulletins (TSB's) for problematic items or manufacturer defects that can be addressed while the Transfer Case is out. TSB's often include helpful procedures.
Replace input seals, output seals, and gasket between the Transfer Case and Transmission.
Install Transfer Case Motor according to manufacture specifications.
Front and Rear Axle Assemblies
Compare your replacement Axle Assembly to your existing Axle Assembly, you may need to swap brackets, sensors, wire harness, breather tubes, or other items.
Install new axle seals, pinion seals, valve cover gasket, and lubricating fluid.
Consult your mechanic or local dealership for technical service bulletins (TSB's) for problematic items or manufacturer defects that can be addressed while the Axle Assembly is out. TSB's often include helpful procedures.
Make sure that the breather tube is not clogged. If it's clogged the internal pressure and heat will force out the oil and destroy your Axle Assembly.
If the rear end is remanufactured or is rebuilt with new components, be aware of the Break-In period in which you cannot tow large loads until the gears are broke in.
5. Return your Core to get some money back
Make sure to do this before returning your core:
don't fully dismantle your core
drain all the fluids
make sure your engine still spins
If your core is not that way, still talk to your customer service rep. because he or she will still try to get you a good refund on your core.
Here are the details that the team is looking for when handling your core:
Drain all fluids such as oil and coolant so we can pass the savings onto you.
All cores need to have an undamaged housing. For example: Engines and transmissions shouldn't be cracked.
To keep your full core refund on engines:
All engines need to be in the same condition as a long block. This means that they need to have timing covers, valve covers, oil pans, and flywheels.
The engine should not be dismantled past what a long block consists of.
There should not be excessive rust.
The crankshaft has to be able to spin 720 degrees.
Diesel engines must include; turbo, fuel system, and injectors.
Before dropping off your core, notify your sales representative of your core return in order to receive your RMA number. To keep full core value and not delay a refund, write down your RMA number on the core.
If for any reason you want your core back, we will attempt to retrieve your original core otherwise if we are unable to locate your original core then we will refund you the amount that you were charged for your core.
6. You are Done, great job! Remember, you just saved a bunch of Cash!
7. Still Have Questions? Here's what you need to know:
If you have any concerns or questions about our parts, immediately contact Hazer Auto Parts for assistance and warranty purposes, we have lots of experience and connections to share with you.
Work with your mechanic to figure out the reason why the part is not working, this is important for us to know how to help you and what to do next. Don't uninstall your part before contacting us. We may have your vehicle or part brought to an inspection facility in order to have a professional determine the cause of the issue in order to get to the bottom of things. If the part is already removed the part must be returned to Hazer's Auto for inspection. If this step is not followed warranty will be voided.
Refunds are mainly issued for parts that are defective or not-as-described with no restocking charges; other reasons may incur up to a 35% restocking fee depending on part price, handling costs, and restocking costs. If you need to cancel your order, do so before we started working on it; otherwise restocking will likely apply.
For powertrain parts (engine, transmission, transfer case, front carrier, front axle, rear axle, etc.) the warranty covers the internally lubricated mechanical parts. If you are not sure, contact your salesperson.
All parts have to be used in the intended way the manufacturer specifies: for example, snow plow applications or larger wheels and tires than are specified by the manufacturer can void warranty.
Body Cuts are non-refundable.
Shipping charges are refundable only if shipping insurance is purchased, otherwise it's non-refundable.
Cash Refunds are only given same-day. Otherwise we can refund you back on your original credit card or issue you a check.
Once you purchase an extended warranty, it is not refundable and it is not pro-rated.
